Once more, fire bulldozes part of Anambra market

A portion of the “gb” Osisi Market, also known as the “plank market,” in Onitsha, Anambra State, was destroyed by fire at midnight on Thursday.

TRIBUNE POINT reports that the reason for the fire still couldn’t seem to be determined at the hour of documenting this report.

SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the incident and informed reporters that divisional police officers were leading a team of officers working to resolve the issue.

He added that a few decent lively people were likewise assisting with extinguishing the fire.

“Our operatives, led by the DPO, and a few kind-hearted people are attempting to put out the fire in the best way they can.

“In the mean time, the fire administration has been reached, and the circumstance is being observed.

“For the present, there is no record of death toll, and the value of property annihilated has not set in stone.

“Further subtleties will be conveyed as the activity is as yet progressing,” he said.
